STEAM-PLASMA INSTALLATIONS FOR THE PROCESSING OF ORGANIC-BASED SOLID (INCLUDING HAZARDOUS) WASTESteam-plasma installations PLAZER-VPL-100W with 100 kW power plasmatron and tungsten cathode flown about with shielding gas, and PLAZER-VPL-200W with 200 kW power plasmatron and hollow copper electrodes are designed to complete the equipment for pollution-free processing of various kinds of waste on the organic base, for example solid domestic and toxic waste (waste of medical centers, noneffective medicaments, waste of food, pharmaceutical, chemical and oil-chemical industries etc.) with capacity of processing up to 1000 kg/hour. During the processing of this waste the equipment PLAZER implements innovative steam-plasma technology, which allows full use of the energy potential of the waste organic base ensuring the highest possible indexes of the environmental security. Steam- plasma technology provides an environmentally clean processing of listed hazardous wastes without formation of resins, dioxins, aerosols etc., as well as the total extraction of all carbon from the waste material , while the carbon and toxic compounds is remained in the solid residue up to 30 % at all combustion processes. The main products are combustible clean syngas (mixture of H2 + CO) and neutral environmentally friendly solid residue in the form of ash. Syngas is used as an efficient source of heat and power. Technological complex can be equipped with an autonomous power generating unit of cogeneration type and operate in modes with and without connection to the mains. A byproduct of the equipment operation is a combustible synthetic gas or electric, thermal energy (hot water), as well as neutral inorganic residue which can be used as raw materials for building materials and metallurgy. |
